Abstract:

With the continuous improvement in requirements for prefabrication and factory fabrication, the application of steel structures in the petrochemical industry has developed rapidly. With the increase of steel plate thickness and weld size, the stress state of connections has become increasingly complex, and the problem of lamellar tearing of thick plates in steel structures has become remarkable. Especially in the cold regions of Northeast China, Z-direction lamellar tearing failure of thick plates occurs constantly. This article starts with the mechanism of lamellar tearing, analyzes its influencing factors, and proposes some assurance measures for reducing the tearing failure of thick plates as well as some optimization measures for weld joint design.

Key words: thick plate, lamellar tearing, analysis, optimization design
