Abstract: The existing roasting technology for 5A molecular sieve adsorbent and its problem of decreasing adsorption capacity are introduced in this paper. To solve this problem, a new roasting technology for 5A molecular sieve adsorbent was developed. This technology is novel and innovative. Its characteristics include forced vacuum suction, high automation, high precision of temperature control and low energy consumption. High quality products can be produced using this new technology, the adsorption loss can be controlled around 3%, the performance of adsorbent can be greatly improved, and the product performance is better than those of the products produced using the existing technology and the imported adsorbents. The vacuum roasting process is an innovation in the preparation of 5A molecular sieve adsorbent
