Based on the construction requirement of intelligent plant, this article analyzes the difficulties of intelligent plant construction and the current status of digital plant construction, synchronizes the construction of digital plant and physical plant, and forms a method for digital delivery and a way of digital plant construction based on integrated engineering. Digital plant provides a solid foundation for the construction of intelligent plant. Digital delivery explores the best practice path for the construction of intelligent plant, and provides and forms the big data of plant for the owner, which accelerates the construction of intelligent plant and helps the progress from digitalization to intelligence.

Design of Gas Turbine and HRSG Cogeneration System and the Study on Influencing Factors

Taking a 15 MW gas turbine and double-pressure heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) system as the object, the process of modeling and variable condition analysis by Thermoflow software was studied. The accuracy of the process simulation of the software was verified by the actual operation results of the plant, and the reliability of the software in engineering design was proved. The influencing factors of gas turbine and HRSG co-generation system were analyzed by using the software. The results showed that the gas turbine output decreased with the increase of ambient temperature, and the gas turbine output at 40℃ was 26.9% lower than that at -10℃. When the ambient temperature was lower than 15℃, the power generation efficiency of gas turbine increased with the increase of temperature. When the ambient temperature was higher than 15℃, the power generation efficiency of gas turbine decreased with the increase of temperature. The ambient relative humidity had little effect on the gas turbine system in general. With the increase of gas turbine load, the power generation efficiency of gas turbine was significantly increased, and the efficiency of gas turbine at 100% load was 5.7% higher than that at 50% load. The exhaust temperature of gas turbine decreased approximately linearly with the increase of gas turbine load, and when the load was raised to 87.5% and above, the exhaust temperature of gas turbine was stabilized at about 506°C. The HRSG exhaust temperature increased with the increase of gas turbine load, with a minimum of 149°C. When the gas turbine was operated at full load, the heat supply of co-generation system was 25,804 kW. The total thermal efficiency of co-generation system increased with the increase of gas turbine load, and the maximum total thermal efficiency of co-generation system was 87.07% when the gas turbine load reached 87.5%. The study results provided theoretical basis and data support for the optimized operation of the plant and the further energy saving and consumption reduction transformation.

Structural Design of Gas Station Canopy

Usually there are several structural forms of gas station canopy, such as reinforced concrete, grid, H-shaped light steel and membrane. During long-term application,these different structural forms were compared and selected due to their own advantages and disadvantages. As a result, the basic pattern with H-shaped light steel structure and grid structure as the main selections was formed. This paper briefly analyzes the influencing factors of canopy type selection and the design of structural form, and discusses the problems which should be paid attention to in design, providing reference for relevant engineers in the design and structure selection of canopy.

In the information era, digital technology has become an important tool. In order to meet the needs of this era, Building Information Model (BIM) appeared. BIM is not only a three-dimensional visual building model, but also a carrier of information. It is a comprehensive database carrying all the building information. It can be used not only for architectural design, but also for structural design, equipment management, engineering quantity statistics, cost calculation, property management, etc., playing its role in the whole life cycle of building. Based on the theory of BIM technology, this paper discusses how to use computer software to assist the architectural design. Through an engineering example, this paper discusses the role of BIM technology in architectural design. The establishment of BIM model is taken as the basis of the application of BIM technology, and the whole building is comprehensively analyzed in design stage combined with the application of BIM multi-disciplinary and multi-faceted collaborative design. The results reflect the feasibility and advantages of BIM in computer-aided architectural design.

Simulation of Axial-Radial High-Temperature Adiabatic Shift Converter

A heterogeneous one-dimensional model was developed to simulate the axial-radial high-temperature adiabatic shift converter. According to the conditions of feed gas to the high-temperature shift converter in a 1500 t/a ammonia plant, the catalyst loading and dimensions of the axial-radial shift converter were determined. The effects of some operational parameters such as inlet temperature, steam gas ratio and operating load on the behavior of the shift converter were investigated. The simulation results show that when the inlet temperature ranges from 350℃ to 390℃ and the capacity ranges from 60% to 110%, the high-temperature shift converter can meet the process requirements.

Piping Design and Equipment Layout of Ethylene Cracking Furnace

Combined with the characteristics of independent cracking reaction of multiple identical cracking furnaces in ethylene cracking furnace unit, the equipment layout of the ethylene cracking furnace unit was optimized in three aspects. Firstly, the structure width of each series of cracking furnace was adjusted to the length of the pipe rack, so that the piping layout of a single series can be copied directly to the other series. Secondly, an additional structure was added between the cracking furnace and the pipe rack to expand the space of cracking furnace structure and reduce the structure function of pipe rack. Thirdly, the positions of secondary quench exchanger and tertiary quench exchanger were changed to make the piping arrangement more reasonable. Through these optimizations of the equipment layout, the piping efficiency can be significantly improved.

Under the premise of considering the characteristics of compressible fluids and the system pressure, temperature, and piping characteristics, the model equation presented in this paper are used to calculate the emergency releasing case of recycle gas in EO/EG plant which reaches the speed of sound, and the results are consistent with the actual test conditions in the field. It can be applied to the piping design and check under emergency venting conditions in other EO/EG plants or similar systems to meet the specific safety requirements. At the same time, the relationship between release time and release volume under different release pressures is also studied.

As the main component of the material cost of pipeline discipline, the estimation of valve plays an important role in petrochemical engineering projects. This article discusses the estimation methods of valves, analyzes the current situation and the main problems faced in valve estimation, and explores the improvement methods through practice. The efficiency and level of valve estimation are improved through keyword splitting and comparison, database standardization and computer software programming. The influencing factors of valve price are analyzed and studied. According to logistic regression model, the different influence degree of gate valve design parameters on the price are analyzed, which provides reference for the estimation of valves.

Cold box is one of the most important equipment in ethylene plant. This paper briefly introduces the function and internal structure of cold box in ethylene plant. The main focuses are on the structure design of cold box and the different schemes of top platform. It recommends the material selection for the external pipeline of cod box, the plan layout of the related equipment and its pipe system, the layout of several different types of filter, and the layout of safety valve system. It emphasises the cautions of piping supports for cold pipeline and the design principles of cold support in some particular circumstances.

In petrochemical industry, ultra-high pressure steam is mainly used for turbine drive of cracking gas compressor in ethylene plant. Its transmission pipeline has the characteristics of high temperature, high pressure and large diameter. While meeting the primary and secondary stress intensity check condition requirements stipulated in ASME B31.3, this paper uses CAESAR II software to analyze the stress of ultra-high pressure steam pipeline with different pipe diameters in terms of axial displacement, compensated bending arm length, compensated bending extension, compensated bending vertical load and fixed end horizontal thrust, summarizes and puts forward fitting formulas respectively, providing reference for engineering design, especially in the stages of feasibility study, overall design and basic engineering design.

This paper briefly introduces the basic connection mode of glass fiber reinforced thermosetting plastic (GRP) pipe, which is non-metallic pipe. The article makes a comprehensive comparison of the domestic and foreign standards and codes related to GRP pipes in petrochemical industry, and suggests that the petrochemical industry should adopt American standards. Focusing on several commonly used interface types of GRP pipe, this paper makes a further analysis of the interface strength, the comprehensive cost and the applicability of geological environment, and gives some suggestions on the connection mode of GRP pipes for water supply and drainage projects in petrochemical industry.

This paper briefly discusses the method and process of establishing Documentum system in an EPC project of SINOPEC Engineering Incorporation (SEI). Based on the management regulations of EDMS and the implementation experience and mode of Documentum system, SEI established an electronic document management system suitable for this project based on Documentum 6.5SP2 software combined with the specific characteristics of the EPC project, so as to realize the whole process management of project documents, real-time sharing, remote storage, real-time query, version control, status tracking, automatic distribution, permission management, release control, real-time monitoring, risk warning, electronic document delivery, etc. It can ensure the smooth implementation of the project according to schedule with quality guaranteed, and meet the digital delivery requirements of the project, providing reference for similar projects.

However, as far as the current industry development is concerned, there are still many contradictions, difficulties and problems.
