Abstract: An optimization design scheme for the debottlenecking of 550 KTA polypropylene plant in Fujian Refining and Ethylene Project (FREP) is introduced. The reserved space of Phase I construction was fully used, the principle of making the best use of existing equipment was followed in equipment selection, and the expansion of purge vessel in its original position was successfully completed, creating conditions for the smooth progress of the debottlenecking revamping project. While giving consideration to advanced technology, the revamping cost was remarkably reduced, thus improving the construction efficiency, technology and economy of the project.
