Abstract: Smart Plant 3D (SP3D) is a 3D modeling software used in piping design based on material specification database, which provides material specification data for the design system according to SP3D interface program. This paper introduces the problems in the connection of materials with different specifications in SP3D, and puts forward the solution of database construction and the innovative connection scheme.
