 Application of INPLANT Software in Design of Cooling Water Pipe Network

Abstract:  

 Cooling water system is an essential part of the utilities in refinery and has an important impact on the smooth operation, construction investment and operation cost of the units. Combining with a project case, this paper introduces a calculation method for cooling water pipe network by using INPLANT software. The comparison with the actual operation data of the units built shows that this software can be used to guide the optimization design of cooling water pipe network, so as to save investment and reduce energy waste.
