Study on Unloading and Filling Process of Hydrogen Refueling Stations based on Process Simulation

Hydrogen unloading and filling are the main process operations of hydrogen refueling station. The study found that the volume ratio of hydrogen container and the operation sequence have an impact on gas extraction rate during the unloading of hydrogen refueling station. When the unloading sequence is high pressure, medium pressure and low pressure and the volume ratio of hydrogen container is 2 (high pressure): 3 (medium pressure): 4 (low pressure), the gas extraction rate of tube trailer reaches 63%, higher than the gas extraction rate when the total water volume is the same but the volume ratio of hydrogen container changes to 1:1:1. The gas extraction rate in the unloading sequence of high pressure, medium pressure and low pressure is slightly higher than that in the reverse sequence of low pressure, medium pressure and high pressure. When filling hydrogen into hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, it was found that in the filling sequence of low pressure to high pressure hydrogen containers, the gas extraction rates under the tank volume ratio of 2:3:4 and 1:1:1 were roughly the same. In addition, when hydrogen is directly filled using hydrogen compressor, the gas extraction rate is higher than that of the scheme using hydrogen containers. The filling demand at peak hours can be met by increasing the capacity of single hydrogen compressor or by connecting multiple compressors in parallel. This research conclusion can provide data support and guidance for the engineering design, standard formulation and on-site operation and maintenance of hydrogen refueling stations.

In recent years, it has been found that the helium content of LNG boil-off gas produced by natural gas liquefaction in Ordos Basin gas field is up to 3.3%, which has great development and utilization value. Based on the description of helium resources and market prospects, this paper analyzes various helium production technologies at home and abroad, and focuses on the design of helium extraction process in the 15,600 m3/d helium-containing boil-off gas treatment process of a 200 kt/a LNG plant in Ordos Basin gas field. The helium extraction process combining membrane separation with PSA is selected to extract helium from LNG boil-off gas. This process not only effectively reduces the energy consumption of equipment and improves the production efficiency of LNG plant, but also extracts helium with high purity.

In the current situation of excess diesel capacity and increasingly saturated market demand for diesel, SINOPEC Zhenhai Refining and Chemical Company modified its two existing 3.0 Mt/a diesel hydrogenation units for cracking upgrading. By loading some cracking catalysts and taking a series of supporting modification measures, the naphtha yield after modification is increased by 3% to 10% respectively, and the diesel-gasoline ratio of the company is reduced by 0.13%, which improves the economic benefits of the refinery and provides direction and experience for modification of similar units.

SmartPlant 3D is a new generation of plant design software, and CAESARII is a professional software for stress analysis of pressure pipes. Based on the integrated design concept of building a digital plant, the pipeline component data file generated by SmartPlant 3D and the pipeline relational database file created by CAESAR II are used in the custom development of data flow format that meets the needs of engineering design, and the establishment of two-way data transmission between SmartPlant 3D and CAESAR II is explored. The work flow among disciplines is optimized to achieve the goal of integrated design, and relevant details are discussed.

How to determine the fire separation distance of buildings in a petrochemical plant? Should it be based on the Code for Fire Protection Design of Buildings or the Standard for Fire Prevention Design of Petrochemical Enterprises? Under what circumstances can the standard be used reasonably and conveniently? Through comparative analysis on the current standards and the deliberation on fire separation distance of buildings, this paper proposes how to adopt the standards in general plan design and offers some suggestions for future revision of standards.

In this paper, the computational fluid dynamics software ANSYS fluent is used to simulate the local structure of various flue and air ducts and the flue and air ducts used in many practical projects. According to the simulation results, the advantages and disadvantages of different local structures of flue and air duct are analyzed and compared, including section shape, turning radius of bend, and different size combinations under rectangular section shape of bend. Combined with the flue and air duct structure case in actual project, its rationality is analyzed, and an optimization scheme is proposed based on the numerical simulation results.

An Investigation into Tie Beam Types between Independent Pile Caps of Spherical Vessel

Spherical vessel is an important storage equipment in petrochemical industry, so its foundation shall be safe and reliable. On the basis of engineering example, the spherical vessel foundation with different number of legs were modelled and calculated by using SAFE software, and the difference between the horizontal force transmission of arc tie beam and straight tie beam between independent pile caps was discussed. The results show that the horizontal reacting forces of single piles are more balanced when straight tie beam is used. Considering stress characteristics and construction feasibility, straight tie beam is preferably used in the design of independent pile foundations of spherical vessels.

Aiming at the problems in SP P&ID pipeline data sheet including information redundancy, inconsistent data and long proofreading man-hours, this paper develops the pipeline data sheet program by comprehensively applying SP P&ID Automation and Excel VBA based on the in-depth analysis of the object model and data model of SP P&ID. The application results show that the program is flexible and convenient, and the data processing is correct and efficient, laying a solid foundation for the 3D modeling with correlation to 2D and its intelligent application.

This paper introduces the employee health information management system developed by SEI, which mainly includes two functional modules, i.e., health card declaration and daily health recording. It not only collects all the health cards of employees returning to work, but also displays in real time the daily health status, suspicious contact experience and travel experience of employees, achieving digitalized, visual and intelligent health management and effectively improving the strength and effectiveness of employee health management.

This article takes the actual engineering project of a large refinery in Guangdong Province for example, and analyzes the concept of water hammer in engineering mentioned in traditional literature. It is believed that the concept of water hammer in the current literature is vague and imprecise, and some amendments are proposed to the traditional concept of water hammer. This article analyzes in detail the causes of valve-closed water hammer and pump-stopping hammer in UF backwash process based on the revised concept of water hammer and puts forward the corresponding solutions.

FCC Unit Product Yield Prediction Model Based on Deep Learning

Catalytic cracking unit has a significant impact on refinery production efficiency. Accurate prediction and optimization of its product yield and coke yield is important to improve the efficiency of the unit and the overall process flow of the refinery. In this paper, a yield prediction model was developed based on the production data from the FCC units in several refineries of SINOPEC by applying Gradient Boosting Decision Tree (GBDT) algorithm in deep learning algorithm and the neural network (ANN) algorithm to summarize the data processing experience for production data. The results show that the gradient tree algorithm based on deep learning performs better in prediction efficiency, accuracy and stability. Artificial intelligence methods can accurately predict product yield based on big data, help to carry out unit operation optimization and plant-wide overall process flow optimization based on data model, and improve plant-wide economic efficiency.

For the ethylene oxide purification column system in an EO/EG plant, Aspen HYSYS was used to dynamically simulate the overpressure scenarios such as the failure of cooling water, power and control valve, so as to obtain the peak relief capacity of safety valve and the changes in operating parameters including tower pressure, temperature, medium composition and reboiler heat duty under different overpressure scenarios. Taking the cooling water failure scenario as an example, the peak discharge flowrate of safety valve from the dynamic simulation is 215 t/h, significantly lower than 313 t/h from the traditional estimation method. Dynamic simulation can provide basis for the design optimization of safety valve selection, safety valve discharge diffusion calculation and discharge gas treatment scheme.

Based on the principle of British HSE EI guidance, this paper discusses the flow induced vibration and acoustic vibration which are less considered in domestic refining and petrochemical plants. The principle of these two kinds of vibration, the method of qualitative assessment, the process of quantitative assessment and the corrective actions are introduced in detail. The vibration fatigue failure analysis of small bore connections and thermowells which are easy to be damaged by flow induced vibration and acoustic vibration are introduced in detail. On this basis, some specific analysis cases are listed to further illustrate the method of such vibration analysis.

The treatment of VOCs has been put on the agenda and become one of the urgent problems to be solved. This paper discusses the effective measures for VOCs emission control in benzene tank area of reforming unit.
