Abstract:

Wind and solar powerhydrogen production is an important meansto achieve thedual-carbon goals and promote the substitution of green hydrogen for gray hydrogen. However, the high volatility of wind and solar resources leadstothe difficulty in matching hydrogen production withhydrogen consumption. Therefore, it is urgent to develop hydrogen storage, transportationand peaking technologies for suppressingthe fluctuations. This article proposes various design schemes of storage, transportation and peaking system forlarge-scale greenpower hydrogen production projects, and simulatesthe real operation and scheduling conditions based onthe output curve of wind and solar power in project sites. The design schemes are analyzed from the aspects of energy consumption of system, fatigue condition of vessels and overall economic efficiency. The research results indicate that the "replenishment tank" process, whichmatches the tank pressure withthe upstream hydrogen production pressure, has the best overall performance. The methods and conclusions of the research provide theoretical basis for the design of green power hydrogen production projects.
