Implementation Planning of High Pressure Polyethylene and EVA Construction Projects

Abstract:

LDPE and EVA are both downstream polymers of ethylene plant. Currently, foreign patented technologies are mostly adopted as the mainstream production processes for both of them. EVA and LDPE polymerization plants are highly overlapped, and some LDPE plants can be switched to EVA production. With the increasing domestic demand for EVA with high VA content used in photovoltaics, coating, hot melt adhesives, solar films and other applications, multiple LDPE/EVA plants are being planned and constructed in China. This article systematically summarizes the reasons for the lag in the construction of five domestic LDPE (EVA) plants compared to the overall planning, analyzes the problems in each stage of the implementation of the projects' critical paths, and proposes some suggestions for the implementation planning of the projects, providing reference for the execution of subsequent similar construction projects and ensuring that the project implementation schedule is controllable.
