Abstract: Flarenet software was adopted to simulate the working process of relief pipe network of styrene safety relief-recovery system completed, and optimal design was performed based on dynamic simulation results combined with engineering experience. The countermeasures against condensation recovery system failure were also considered. The simulation results show that styrene safety relief-recovery system can meet relevant safety and environmental standards. Balanced bellows relief valve should be selected for the pipe network. Dynamic simulation and fire protection and insulation measures can not only realize a more reasonable operation of the pipe network, but also reduce the amount of relief valves and the pipe diameter to some extent, thus reducing the engineering design investment. The set pressure of rupture disk is 50 kPaG, which is reasonable. Appropriately increasing the set pressure of relief valve or increasing the outlet pipe diameter of relief valve can meet the back pressure requirements of safety valve of the new safety relief system.
