Development and Industrial Application of Catalyst Preparation Technology for Synthetic Base Oils

摘要:

合成聚a-烯烃(PAO)基础油是1种全合成润滑油基础油,性能优异用途广泛,单独归为API Ⅳ类基础油。低黏度PAO基础油约占PAO市场份额的80%。生产低黏度PAO基础油主要用BF3催化剂和给质子体(HA)助催化剂,引发反应的是BF3HA生成的络合物BF3?HA。文中介绍了该络合反应及a-烯烃齐聚反应机理,据此开发了一种BF3?HA络合物制备技术,工业应用表明该技术开发是成功的,为PAO生产奠定了基础。

Abstract: Synthetic poly-Alpha-olefin (PAO) base oil is fully synthetic lube base oil. With excellent performance and wide applications, it is separately classified by API as Group IV base oil. Low-viscosity PAO base oil accounts for about 80% of the PAO market. The production of low-viscosity PAO base oil mainly uses BF3 catalyst and proton donor (HA) cocatalyst, and the reaction is triggered by BF3?HA, a complex of BF3 and HA. This paper introduces the mechanisms of this complexation reaction and α-olefin oligomerization reaction, based on which a BF3?HA complex preparation technology is developed. The industrial application shows that the development of this technology is successful, laying foundation for PAO production.
