Calculation of Wind Loads on Single Tube RC Chimney due to Vortex Shedding

摘要: 通过某工程实例,给出了按照GB/T 50051《烟囱工程技术标准》计算单筒式钢筋混凝土烟囱最不利涡激共振响应的具体方法,对减小涡激共振响应的可能途径进行了简短讨论。计算表明,烟囱可能会在远小于基本风压的较小风速作用下发生较大的涡激共振响应,所以仅采用基本风压进行风荷载计算和结构设计是不安全的,需要对可能的所有风速进行计算以确定最不利的风荷载效应。可以通过改变烟囱的外形尺寸或者壁厚调整其动力特性减小涡激共振其响应。

Abstract:

Taking a practical project as an example, this paper puts forward a method for calculating the most critical across-wind loads on single tube RC chimney due to vortex shedding as per GB/50051, and briefly discusses the possible approaches to reduce the across-wind loads due to vortex shedding. The calculations indicate that the chimney may be subject to significant across-wind loads due to vortex shedding while the wind speed is far less than that corresponding to the reference wind pressure. Therefore, considering solely the reference wind pressure in wind load calculation and structural design is not safe. It is necessary to check all possible wind speeds to find the most critical wind load effects. To reduce the wind loads due to vortex shedding, the dynamic characteristics of the chimney can be adjusted by changing the chimney’s size and wall thickness.
