Abstract: Usually there are several structural forms of gas station canopy, such as reinforced concrete, grid, H-shaped light steel and membrane. During long-term application，these different structural forms were compared and selected due to their own advantages and disadvantages. As a result, the basic pattern with H-shaped light steel structure and grid structure as the main selections was formed. This paper briefly analyzes the influencing factors of canopy type selection and the design of structural form, and discusses the problems which should be paid attention to in design, providing reference for relevant engineers in the design and structure selection of canopy.
